About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population in Chicago
- Teach courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
- Apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives
- Develop and provide approved course syllabi with terminal course objectives
- Organize, prepare, and regularly revise course materials
- Use websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software
- Model effective oral and written communications
- Set course expectations, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting
- Ensure exams correspond to course terminal objectives
- Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught
- Applicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts
- Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
