About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems and Software Development
- Facilitate student learning in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans aligned with course and programmatic objectives
- Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
- Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
- Model effective oral and written communication
- Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings
- Ensure examinations align with terminal course objectives
- Prepare and grade examinations consistently and fairly
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Information Systems or a related field (Engineering or IT) required
- 18 graduate credit hours in Information Systems required
- Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
- Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution with equivalent accreditation
- ITF+ or related certification highly preferred
- Linux+ or related certification highly preferred
- PCAP, PCEP, or related certification highly preferred
- A+ or related certification highly preferred
- CSSLP, CSDP, AWSCD, or related certification highly preferred
- Programming in C# or other Microsoft-related certification highly preferred
- Azure Data, MongoDB, or other Microsoft- or Oracle-related certification highly preferred
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
- Requisite subject matter expertise
- Outstanding communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
