About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population
  • Facilitate student learning by teaching courses and programs according to DeVry University requirements
  • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
  • Organize, prepare, and regularly revise course materials
  • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
  • Model effective oral and written communication
  • Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting
  • Ensure exams align with course terminal objectives
  • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctoral degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught
  • Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
  • Degree awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
