About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach and share professional knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students
- Facilitate student learning by teaching courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans and apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives
- Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus including terminal course objectives
- Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update course materials
- Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions
- Model effective oral and written communications that engage students and improve learning
- Set clear course expectations, including terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and evaluation weighting
- Ensure exam content and level correspond to course terminal objectives
- Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly and provide timely feedback
- Integrate responsible use of AI technologies in the classroom
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Doctorate in Marketing or related terminal degree (PhD, DBA, JD, Ed.D.) with 15 graduate credit hours in Marketing is required
- Applicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with their application
- Degrees must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills
- Faculty must have a commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
