About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Facilitate student learning in practitioner-focused education
- Develop approved course syllabi, lesson plans, and terminal course objectives
- Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
- Use websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software to support course delivery
- Model effective oral and written communication
- Set course expectations, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings
- Ensure examinations align with course terminal objectives
- Prepare and grade examinations consistently and fairly
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in mathematics or related field with 9 or more graduate hours in statistics, or a master’s degree in electrical engineering
- Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
- Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution with equivalent accreditation
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
- Requisite subject matter expertise
- Outstanding communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in academic work
