About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with current and potential clients and partners to integrate the platform and other SNI tools into enterprise systems and workflows, including GIS and Asset Management
  • Build and maintain web applications and custom dashboards for querying, updating, visualizing, analyzing, and mapping geographic data
  • Build quotes and scopes of work for integration and customization work
  • Create user and developer documentation, walkthroughs, and guides for new features
  • Conduct product testing, beta testing, and document software bugs and inconsistencies
  • Create API documentation and contribute to tutorials and user guides
  • Work with open source mapping tools, libraries, and scripting languages
  • Help the product team manage requirements and new product features
  • Communicate regularly with the team and use Jira/GitHub to submit and work on issues
  • Provide thoughtful and constructive feedback on new product feature design and development
  • Proactively find and report issues, bugs, and regressions
  • Reuse existing software and gems when appropriate and write software following established conventions and best practices
  • Raise personal and team skill levels through continued learning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • English level: C1
  • Technical background and ability to communicate with the technical engineering team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Consultation experience is a plus and will be highly valued in this role
  • Experience with GIS processes and platforms is a plus
  • Ability to work with open source mapping tools, libraries, and scripting languages, including Python, SQL, PostGIS, GDAL, QGIS, and GeoPandas
