About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage ongoing and upcoming robotics projects in Japan
Coordinate product development and deployment at scale
Work closely with HQ core teams to develop products and systems for Japanese customers
Design, build, and monitor solutions and systems that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Guide systems architecture build-out and improvements
Explain the Dexterity system architecture and how it works to partners and customers
Support system commissioning using the Linux command line
Confirm customer-required existing and new features and discuss feature triage based on business impact
Support root cause analysis and debugging to maintain deployed system operations
Analyze control, vision, and data software performance on robot systems and develop optimizations
Support product definition and close architecture and technical issues in early project stages
Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies with key stakeholders
Collaborate with customers, system integrators, and Dexterity engineering teams in the US
Report to the Head of Japan

Requirements

What you’ll need

Engineering leader capable of managing ongoing and upcoming projects in Japan
Experience working with external and internal stakeholders, including customers, system integrators, and core engineering teams
Ability to work throughout the technology stack to design, build, and monitor solutions and systems
Knowledge of systems architecture, subsystem components, and dependencies
Linux command line experience
Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging
Experience with control, vision, and data software running on robot systems
Ability to develop performance optimizations for speed, quality, and autonomy
Ability to identify technical risks and mitigation strategies
Ability to work with Japanese customers and HQ core teams
