About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a change agent driving global category strategies across commercial performance and sustainability objectives
  • Build, develop and apply expertise across one or more spend categories
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and share knowledge across the global Procurement community
  • Lead market intelligence, category insights, global strategies and sourcing activities
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and partners to deliver value
  • Support global category strategy development through requirements gathering, market analysis and solution recommendations
  • Generate insights through benchmarking, cost models and analytics
  • Support Market Centres of Excellence with execution of global category strategies
  • Lead sourcing activities across global and above-market spend categories
  • Plan and lead commercial negotiations and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle
  • Maintain contract governance and compliance
  • Identify, assess and mitigate strategic, commercial and supplier risks
  • Strengthen supply resilience and improve risk management practices
  • Build strategic supplier relationships and drive supplier performance, innovation and long-term value
  • Assess supplier capability across operational, financial, quality, compliance and risk criteria
  • Drive corrective actions and continuity of supply
  • Drive sustainable cost efficiencies, innovation and competitive advantage through the supply base
  • Identify opportunities across total cost of ownership, productivity, design-to-value and demand optimisation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in supplier management
  • Successful track record of leading large-scale projects across complex, cross-functional stakeholder groups
  • Strong knowledge of best-in-class Procurement practices, category management and strategic sourcing
  • Experience leading a procurement category within an international or global environment
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Experience working across the end-to-end supply chain, including Sales and Marketing
  • Demonstrated experience delivering pan-regional or global sourcing initiatives involving multiple business partners
  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification advantageous
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach
  • Experienced negotiator with a proven ability to deliver successful outcomes across high-value, complex commercial agreements
