About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop content ideas supporting brand awareness, thought leadership, and demand generation
- Build and maintain editorial and social calendars across blog, email, web, video, and social content
- Identify content gaps and opportunities using performance data, sales feedback, and market and competitor trends
- Align content plans with product launches, campaigns, and marketing priorities
- Write, edit, and produce blog posts, articles, website copy, email campaigns, whitepapers, and sales collateral
- Manage end-to-end production involving designers, videographers, and freelance contributors
- Interview subject matter experts and translate technical concepts into clear, engaging content
- Ensure content aligns with Opengear’s brand voice, style, and messaging pillars
- Own social media content planning, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement
- Develop platform-specific organic and paid social content
- Monitor social performance and trends and adjust strategy based on engagement data
- Repurpose long-form content into social-ready assets
- Track and report content and social performance, including traffic, engagement, and conversions
- Use performance data to refine content topics, formats, and distribution channels
- Conduct content audits to refresh or repurpose high-value assets
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, subject matter experts, design, and creative teams
- Support partner-facing content requests and go-to-market priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a related field
- Demonstrated content development background
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to translate technical or complex topics into clear, engaging content
- Experience managing an editorial or social content calendar
- Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, including content planning and performance tracking
- Strong project management skills
- Experience managing designers, videographers, and outside contributors
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple content workstreams simultaneously
- Valid work authorization in the United States at the time of application
- Visa sponsorship is unavailable
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) desired but not required
- Experience in B2B technology or network infrastructure marketing desired but not required
- Familiarity with marketing automation and analytics tools such as Pardot and GA4 desired but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience, desired but not required
