About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct covert investigations into potentially fraudulent Workers' Compensation and Liability claims
- Monitor, follow, and videotape subjects during their daily activities
- Pursue subjects by vehicle and on foot while maintaining cover
- Film subjects in varied locations, including grocery stores and sports games
- Develop pre-surveillance strategies based on setup location and case details
- Write detailed reports on observed and captured activities
- Submit video evidence
- Communicate regularly with the team leader about setup positions, activity, and tactics
- Travel to local and remote assignments, including commute and drive time in company vehicles
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must live in the state of California
- Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Availability for a 5-day-per-week schedule averaging 10 hours per day
- Ability to work 50+ hours per week on average, including commute and drive time
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight on remote assignments as needed
- Ability to start as early as 5:00 am, with occasional evening work
- Ability to pass a DMV check and background check
- Confident driving skills
- Ability to monitor, follow, and videotape subjects while maintaining cover
- Ability to craft pre-surveillance strategies
- Detailed report writing and video evidence submission
- Regular communication with team leaders regarding setup positions, activity, and tactics
