About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct undercover surveillance on suspected fraud cases
- Adapt to changing environments using quick-thinking and disguises
- Collect video evidence of subjects' activities
- Work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Update the Operations team through quick calls and texts
- Frequently use video cameras
- Maintain stakeout positions for extended periods
- Tail subjects on foot and by vehicle
- Drive in urban, rural, and suburban communities, sometimes long distances, in all weather conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must currently live in Rhode Island
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays
- Average 50 hours per week availability
- Ability to start work as early as 5am daily, with occasional evening work
- Ability to pass DMV and background checks
- Confidence while driving and while being undercover in any environment
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight on remote assignments as needed
- No PI license required
- No specialized training, credentials, or prior experience required
