About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with the quarterly grant claim process by collating, analysing and organising required financial evidence
  • Liaise with project partners to collate and chase information necessary for claim submission
  • Liaise with auditors to coordinate and gather information needed for quarterly project audits
  • Maintain electronic filing for all grants
  • Assist with monitoring grants, including updating relevant databases and spreadsheets
  • Manage administrative tasks and provide financial support to Project Managers
  • Create new suppliers and send purchase order details
  • Process invoices, expenses and credit cards and post accruals reviewed by the Senior Accountant
  • Produce creditors aging reports
  • Support the Grants Team in improving administrative processes and documentation
  • Assist the Finance Assistant and wider Finance Team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior work experience within an administrative role
  • Previous experience in the grants area is desirable but not essential
  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise time effectively within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • Willingness and determination to learn new systems
  • Confident PC skills
  • Self-starter, self-confident with a can-do, flexible attitude
  • Team player able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Successful completion of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance process prior to starting employment
