About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and execute the core user experience, including UI, main character locomotion and combat, enemy locomotion and AI, mini-games, and co-op gameplay features
  • Lead and mentor the design team to deliver the game's creative vision and product goals
  • Collaborate with animation, programming, and level design teams to deliver a polished player experience
  • Collaborate with the tools team to enhance gameplay development flow and support rapid iteration and testing
  • Champion product goals and creative vision across disciplines
  • Analyze data, player feedback, and internal playtests to refine designs
  • Document and communicate game design concepts across development teams
  • Track industry trends and innovations in enemy and boss design
  • Participate in playtests and provide and receive constructive feedback to improve combat encounters
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience as a Designer in the video game industry
  • Proven experience designing and implementing, ideally in live service or multiplayer environments
  • Experience working on a 1st-person or 3rd-person game
  • Strong understanding of player feedback loops, hit detection, and animation timing
  • Experience with game engines and familiarity with tools for designing games
  • Ability to analyze gameplay data and user feedback
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced development environment
  • Other senior-level responsibilities as assigned
