About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver new technology capabilities for the Equity Portfolio Management team within Investments
Design, develop, upgrade, document, and test multiple application services
Build or implement technologies using industry-standard tools and best practices
Maintain high standards of software quality through good practices and habits
Identify and encourage areas for team growth and improvement
Assist with user stories, estimates, and work plans
Prepare reports, manuals, and documentation on software status, operation, and maintenance
Advise business clients and IT management on technology capabilities and recommend strategies
Provide third-level support to local and remote investment business clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience as a Software Developer
Proficiency in Python, Django, Angular, C# Microsoft .NET 3.5+ framework, PostgreSQL, Transact SQL, and Javascript
Understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
Experience with automated acceptance testing
Ability to write unit-tested, maintainable code
Familiarity with SOLID coding principles
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills with internal team members and external business stakeholders
Ability to improve solutions, systems, and processes
Preferred: Knowledge of Domain Driven Design
Preferred: Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices (Scrum, Kanban or XP)
Preferred: Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines
Preferred: Experience developing using CQRS and Event Sourcing Architectures
Preferred: Background in financial systems design and development
