About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the Enterprise Platform engineering discipline and build its technical foundation from the ground up
Turn enterprise infrastructure into self-service software
Replace manual consoles and tickets with reusable platform primitives, APIs, and self-service portals
Manage device fleets through versioned, API-driven infrastructure for endpoint management and hardware provisioning
Manage identity systems and downstream application connections as code, including SSO and SCIM integrations and account workflows
Build deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code provisioning patterns
Establish CI/CD standards
Design and ship APIs, CLIs, and portals for automated, auditable workflows
Define technical direction and architecture
Write RFCs and documentation for future engineering hires

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years building and operating production software and systems at a technology company
Track record of owning ambiguous projects end to end
Strong software engineering fundamentals
Ability to write, design, test, and ship production code
Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, and Rust
Deep, hands-on IAM experience, including SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, and RBAC
Fluency with infrastructure as code, especially Terraform
Fluency with CI/CD
Experience treating endpoint and fleet management as an API-driven engineering surface at scale
Platform-as-a-product mindset
Experience building self-service tooling that people chose to adopt
Comfort with ambiguity and a founder's temperament
Hands-on experience with Okta, Jamf, or Intune is a bonus
Experience with identity and access governance for non-human, workload, or AI-agent principals is a bonus
Background at a high-growth consumer tech company with a highly technical employee base is a bonus
