About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage projects from start to closeout, aligning scope, schedule, and budget
  • Drive decisions to keep projects progressing
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, change orders, billing, and cost recovery
  • Monitor job costs and margins
  • Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting
  • Develop project schedules and lead 2-week and 6-week planning
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
  • Resolve schedule constraints
  • Serve as the primary client and stakeholder contact
  • Lead meetings and communications and build client relationships
  • Manage contracts and subcontracts and review plans and specifications
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change processes
  • Collaborate with superintendents to support field execution and logistics
  • Ensure crews have required resources
  • Identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance
  • Oversee final billing, punch lists, and closeout documentation
  • Perform regular site visits in a combination of office and field work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction, site development, or concrete projects
  • Strong expertise in job costing, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Ability to read plans and contracts
  • Strong leadership and communication
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, HCSS, or similar
  • Proficiency with accounting tools such as Sage or equivalent
  • Large-scale civil projects experience preferred
  • Subcontractor management experience preferred
  • Proven track record of profitable delivery preferred
