About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build software for PrismHR, an HR, payroll, and benefits platform used by employer-services organizations across the United States
  • Own features end to end across Angular and TypeScript front end, Node.js and Express APIs, and the data layer
  • Lead code reviews
  • Mentor engineers
  • Work directly with product and QA teams
  • Modernize a mature payroll engine and integrate it with a modern cloud stack without disrupting pay runs
  • Maintain full overlap with US teams from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of strong JavaScript and TypeScript, plus hands-on Node.js or Go
  • Real single-page app experience with Angular
  • REST APIs and microservices with Express
  • HTML, CSS, SCSS, Git, Docker, CI/CD, and Agile
  • 8+ years total software experience
  • Practical AI-assisted coding tools, including Copilot or Claude Code
  • NoSQL or multi-value (PICK) database experience
  • AWS or Azure, legacy modernization, and HCM or payroll domain knowledge are nice to have
  • Availability from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday
