About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write and debug UniData BASIC across SaaS, mobile, and on-premise environments
Troubleshoot across every application tier
Support QA on quality and performance
Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to work faster and understand the large codebase
Work in Agile teams
Lead R&D initiatives
Contribute to modernization at the boundary between the MultiValue core and modern technology stacks
Collaborate with Support, Product, QA, customers, and the US team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on UniData or another MultiValue platform
MultiValue BASIC experience
Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
Strong problem-solving and cross-tier troubleshooting
Good interpersonal skills
Experience working with Support, Product, QA, and sometimes customers
Agile experience
Unit testing and TDD
Ability to work 6:00 PM–3:00 AM IST, Monday to Friday
Helpful but not required: SB+ or 4GL, Java, Scala, JavaScript, REST services, HR, payroll, or accounting background
Deep MultiValue experience in another dialect such as UniVerse, D3, jBASE, or Pick may be considered
Strong engineering skills and appetite for a rare specialization
