About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain client-facing applications for PrismHR's HR, payroll, and benefits platform
Develop features end to end across Angular, Node.js, Express, and the data layer
Design and build RESTful services and microservices
Write tests for developed features
Participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer
Own work through production deployment
Debug production issues across application tiers
Work in containerized environments with Docker
Contribute to AI-assisted development and AI-enabled product capabilities
Engage with modernization work between the payroll core and modern technology stack

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–7 years of hands-on software development
Strong Node.js and Express experience, including designing RESTful services or microservices
Solid Angular front-end development
Docker and containerized development experience
Practical experience with AI-assisted development tooling, AI-enabled features, or both
Git, Agile delivery, and unit testing experience
Ability to debug across tiers and reason from symptom to root cause
Nice to have: AWS or Azure
Nice to have: SQL depth
Nice to have: TypeScript
Nice to have: CI/CD
Nice to have: NoSQL or multi-value database exposure
Nice to have: payroll, benefits, or HCM domain interest
Nice to have: test-driven development
Availability to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday
