About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyse the risk level of customer, vendor, and broker credit applications and contribute to approval decisions
- Undertake financial analysis and modelling for new and existing clients across agriculture, construction, transport, industrial, healthcare, energy transition, office equipment, and tech finance sectors
- Liaise with back-office functions, sales/account management, credit/risk management, legal, asset management, and relevant third parties
- Collect customer, vendor, and broker information using applicable systems and procedures
- Assess the completeness and currency of information
- Analyse financial, asset, market, security, legal, and contractual risks
- Review and re-rate customers/end users, local vendors, and local dealers
- Write credit application reports
- Decide on end-user credit applications and local vendor/dealer/broker agreements within delegated authority
- Make recommendations and present applications to higher credit decision-making authorities and local/global Credit Committees
- Advise, prepare, and participate in local Credit Committee decision-making
- Monitor, coordinate, and advise on credit/risk profiles, policies, regulations, and sales mandates
- Contribute to development of local credit and risk management policies, regulations, and guidelines
- Provide information, support, training, and alignment to front- and back-office parties on credit and risk management policies, processes, and issues
- Report to the Credit Manager – Financial Intermediaries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in accounting, finance, commerce or related field
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in asset / equipment finance with a DLA held of at least AUD500K
- Advanced financial analysis skills
- Understanding of vendor-based, dealer-based, and broker-based asset finance partnerships
- Understanding of strategic commercial objectives and risk management principles
- Understanding of documentation, security, and legal processes
- Expert-level understanding and application of PPSR
- Ability to analyse risks and rewards in vendor/dealer/broker and customer relationships
- Ability to communicate risks and rewards in well-written, professional credit applications
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
- Excellent comprehension, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Flexibility to remain focused despite changing priorities
- Ability to handle high work volumes and respond to requests promptly
- Consultative, team-oriented approach with stakeholders
- Ability to negotiate and solve problems
