About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategy for major clients and complex engagements
  • Represent clients before taxing authorities during appeals and hearings
  • Review and approve analyses and client deliverables
  • Enforce quality-control standards and best practices
  • Drive business development by identifying and scoping opportunities, developing proposals, and communicating DMA’s full suite of services
  • Manage key client accounts and expand services
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team members
  • Support performance management and career development
  • Participate in talent acquisition and onboarding
  • Oversee maintenance of cases, assessments, and jurisdictional information in DMA’s review management system
  • Supervise production, billing, invoicing, and engagement profitability
  • Ensure compliance with jurisdictional deadlines for filings, audits, appeals, protests, and tax-payment schedules
  • Monitor industry activity, legislation, and court decisions
  • Brief clients and internal leadership on relevant developments
  • Operate independently while fostering team collaboration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in negotiations with contract appraisal firms (Capital, P&A) and their valuation methodology
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent executive-level communication
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, research, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Regular 40-hour work week
  • Ability to travel 15–25%
