About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Post payments from patients and third parties
- Adjust patients’ accounts
- Process incoming payments
- Verify write-offs
- Fax medical records to third parties as requested
- Scan documents
- Confirm refunds to patients and third parties
- Identify payer issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of working in a large physician clinic
- Proficient in working with Payer Vendor websites
- Ability to work with multiple computer screens at once in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter capable of working independently at home
- Patient, empathetic, reliable and flexible
- Excellent documentation/reporting skills
- Professionalism in all interactions
- Adherence to CRMS policies
- Understanding of all HIPPA regulations and strict adherence to them
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Payment Posting Specialist within a Hospital or Medical office setting
- Ability to perform remote office work with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to view monitors for prolonged periods
