About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the Dolby Vision Home Devices business, including revenue, growth, product performance, and overall business outcomes across TVs, DMAs, STBs, and projectors
  • Own the end-to-end business strategy for Dolby Vision on Home Devices
  • Assess market and competitive dynamics and translate strategy into annual priorities and investment plans
  • Develop a segmented view of global markets, customers, consumers, use cases, value chains, competitive alternatives, regional dynamics, and technology trends
  • Define and execute strategies to increase attach rate and revenue per segment
  • Partner with sales, finance, and legal on pricing, licensing, forecasts, and major customer opportunities
  • Own the product portfolio and multi-year roadmap from strategy through execution
  • Define positioning, value propositions, target segments, success metrics, investment priorities, release sequencing, and lifecycle plans
  • Identify unmet market needs and new growth opportunities and develop product concepts and business cases
  • Build and lead a pipeline of Dolby Vision innovations; test product-market fit and recommend scaling, partnering, sequencing, or stopping initiatives
  • Develop product requirements and guide initiatives through product development and lifecycle processes
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new products and portfolio transitions
  • Build trusted senior relationships with OEMs, service operators, silicon providers, operating-system platforms, content partners, and consumers
  • Make trade-offs across business and product initiatives within available resources
  • Engage in product and architecture discussions and connect technical decisions to consumer experience, differentiation, and business outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, research, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, partner success, support, and content ecosystem teams
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing business and product management team
  • Establish OKRs and measurable outcomes, review performance, identify risks, and drive corrective action
  • Represent the business in executive reviews and strategic engagements with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders worldwide

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Substantial professional experience in image processing, video processing, display systems, or picture-quality (PQ) engineering
  • Experience or familiarity with HDR technologies, color gamut, tone management, image processing, metadata, display technologies, and perceptual picture quality
  • Significant experience leading a business, product portfolio, or major product line in consumer electronics, home entertainment, video technology, media, semiconductors, operating systems, or a closely related industry
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports
  • Experience mobilizing large cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills across functions, cultures, and geographies
  • Understanding of the home entertainment market and its value chain, including TVs, set-top boxes, digital media adapters, display technologies, silicon platforms, operating systems, content distribution, and device manufacturing
  • Willingness to travel globally as needed
  • Preferred: demonstrated ownership of revenue and growth outcomes
  • Preferred: strong product management record, including market discovery, product strategy, roadmap development, requirements, business cases, product launches, and lifecycle management
  • Preferred: commercial fluency in segmentation, pricing, licensing, forecasting, go-to-market strategy, customer negotiations, and investment prioritization
  • Preferred: technical depth in imaging, video, platform, and R&D topics
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, imaging science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
