About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and direct the Global People Operations team in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Lead global process improvement projects
  • Develop and implement a People Operations improvement roadmap focused on simplification, automation, artificial intelligence, and efficiency
  • Document and standardize global business processes using continuous improvement methods such as Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma
  • Partner with leaders and People Business Partners on employee separations, transfers, assignments, reorganizations, RIFs, M&A, and other complex employment actions
  • Assist managers with performance issues and improvement plans alongside the People Relations team
  • Develop and update policies and procedures for labor-law compliance and risk mitigation
  • Drive regional compliance programs and regulatory initiatives
  • Develop and manage strategic vendor partnerships
  • Lead organizational change management for People initiatives
  • Build partnerships with business leaders, People Business Partners, IT, Payroll, Finance, and Recruiting
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to SOX controls
  • Develop and drive the Bangalore employee experience and on-site People Operations support
  • Participate in the Site Leadership Committee and shape People and site program roadmaps
  • Represent and proactively support Bangalore’s growth as a Growth Hub
  • Advise and coach managers and employees on escalated People matters, processes, and systems
  • Advise on and document complex employment actions and agreements
  • Develop relationships with regional leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • At least eight years of HR or related experience, including two years managing People/People Operations
  • HR Generalist experience, including employee relations experience
  • Deep understanding of Asia-Pacific employment laws and regulations, ideally including India, China, Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore
  • Knowledge of US and EMEA employment laws and regulations is a bonus
  • Ability to manage, drive, coach, and engage high-performing teams in multiple locations
  • Global and strategic mindset
  • Collaborative mindset focused on teamwork, transparency, and open communication
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving ability, including identifying root causes and proposing solutions
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt quickly to ambiguity and fast change
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with cloud-based HR systems; SuccessFactors ideal
  • Proficiency with digital collaboration tools, including HR case management and knowledge base software; ServiceNow ideal
  • Willingness to learn and embrace technology
  • Experience at a multinational company
  • Ability to flex working time for meetings across time zones
  • Ability to travel frequently to other APAC sites, with occasional travel outside APAC
  • Ability to work from the Bangalore office at least three days per week
