About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and develop the accounting team to scale with the needs of the rapidly growing business
Oversee and improve accounting processes including accounts payable, revenue, inventory, fixed assets, and payroll
Leverage or implement systems to support efficient processes
Coordinate and own efficient financial close processes
Manage outside audit firms, banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agents, and credit card companies
Monitor cash flows and identify unusual activity and unnecessary expenses
Refine finance-related operating procedures and implement company-wide controls
Review vendor contracts and agreements
Help coordinate company financial planning and budget management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business
CPA certification strongly preferred
7+ years accounting experience
Experience in public accounting, retail industry and growth stage startups (IPO) a big plus
Prior experience managing and leading staff
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Experience implementing internal controls and running audits
NetSuite proficiency a strong plus
