About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on employee relations, performance management, investigations, leave administration, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, safety compliance, HR compliance, and policy interpretation
- Conduct workplace investigations into complaints, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, misconduct, attendance concerns, and other employee relations matters
- Document investigation findings and recommend appropriate actions
- Provide employee relations guidance and coaching on performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and employment concerns
- Administer FMLA, state and local leave laws, military leave, personal leave, and other protected leaves
- Manage the ADA interactive process and reasonable accommodation program
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims and liaise with employees, managers, medical providers, third-party administrators, nurse triage vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Administer return-to-work and transitional duty programs
- Maintain OSHA injury and illness records and safety-related reporting requirements
- Ensure employment law and HR compliance, including postings, policies, audits, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR services
- Partner with business leaders and Human Resources on workforce planning, headcount forecasting, organizational structure reviews, talent movement planning, succession planning, and workforce analytics reporting
- Assist with other HR projects and assignments as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of Human Resources experience with a focus on employee relations
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Experience administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation programs
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, UKG preferred, and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience supporting multi-site operations is a plus
