About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for end-to-end revenue cycle operations across DSOHF facilities
  • Oversee patient access, health information management, coding, billing, accounts receivable, payer management, and collections
  • Drive strategy to optimize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, minimize denials, and improve cash flow
  • Guide a multi-tiered team of managers and staff
  • Partner with senior leadership, state agencies, and payer organizations
  • Align operations with financial goals
  • Oversee key metrics and reporting
  • Manage complex Medicaid and Medicare billing requirements
  • Ensure audit readiness
  • Guide technology optimization within Epic and related systems
  • Improve operational efficiency and accountability
  • Present complex financial, operational, and regulatory information to executives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of experience with full healthcare revenue cycle operations, including patient access, HIM/coding, billing, accounts receivable, and denials
  • 5 years of experience understanding Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Medicare, and commercial payer reimbursement
  • 5 years of experience leading enterprise revenue cycle teams
  • 5 years of experience managing KPIs such as A/R days, denial rate, clean claims, and net collections
  • 5 years of experience with CMS, HIPAA, state regulations, and payer policies
  • 5 years of experience with Epic revenue cycle systems, including Prelude, Cadence, and Resolute HB/PB, and workflow governance
  • 5 years of executive communication experience
  • 5 years of experience with revenue cycle considerations for behavioral health, psychiatric care, developmental disabilities, and state-operated facilities
  • Knowledge of internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to develop and execute revenue cycle strategy aligned with financial and compliance objectives
  • Ability to lead technology optimization, analytics, automation, and reporting
  • Strong collaboration skills across finance, clinical operations, IT, compliance, and payer organizations
  • Financial acumen to evaluate trends, forecast cash, assess reimbursement risks, and drive improvements
  • Competence in leading organizational change, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Must be able to attend an in-person interview
