About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and drive improvements to the quality of components or products produced in the area of responsibility
  • Participate on project teams and lead projects
  • Ensure components and products comply with specifications
  • Implement and sustain quality controls
  • Drive continuous improvements to products and processes
  • Monitor and supply quality-related information from internal and external sources
  • Complete formal audits and assessments on products and processes
  • Monitor supplied and internally manufactured components and products for conformance using appropriate metrology equipment
  • Red-tag and remove non-conforming materials from production
  • Drive corrective action on non-conforming materials and secure deviations when temporarily allowed
  • Follow up on field-to-factory communications and lead containment activities
  • Monitor and address emerging issues
  • Complete assigned projects efficiently
  • Review and update standard work, processes, tools, measurements, checks, and training
  • Ensure calibrated equipment is available and calibrations are maintained
  • Conduct measurement systems analyses
  • Procure measurement equipment
  • Implement process monitoring and control capabilities to improve process visibility, compliance, traceability, and accountability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering-General Bachelor’s Degree
  • Sound understanding of engineering principles
  • Familiarity with Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis
  • Knowledge and prior experience with company equipment, production processes, and engineering is desired
  • 0>10 years experience
  • Less than 10% travel
