About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide primary support and backup for the Global Risk Management & Insurance function
  • Implement and maintain risk management principles, policies, internal controls, and processes
  • Assist with risk analytics and program modeling
  • Review leases, contracts, and legal agreements for insurance and indemnification terms and recommend modifications
  • Research trends in risk management, safety, loss control, and claims management
  • Establish and update a comprehensive risk management framework
  • Attend meetings with insurance brokers and insurance companies
  • Coordinate loss control activities, insurance claims management, and claim litigation processes
  • Coordinate first-party claims against insurers or third parties
  • Oversee and coordinate insurance certificate activity for customer and vendor requirements
  • Review and reconcile claim payments and insurance-related invoices
  • Assist with underwriting data compilation for insurance renewals
  • Consult with affiliates regarding insurance programs and renewals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College or University student seeking 4-year undergraduate or graduate degree with major or focus on Insurance, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Team player, fast learner, and adaptable to change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-starter who independently investigates problems with limited guidance
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
