About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and evaluate strategic suppliers
- Execute continuous improvement projects and/or training using Lean Six Sigma principles to achieve world-class supplier performance in safety, quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership
- Prioritize multiple tasks and identify internal and external resource needs for timely project execution and issue resolution within the supply base
- Identify and monitor supply chain KPIs aligned with Doosan Bobcat’s strategic needs
- Influence new product designs and supply chain processes to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets using APQP tools
- Mitigate risks from supplier product or process change requests
- Identify supply chain process/product techniques and technologies to leverage internally and across the supply chain while maintaining intellectual property
- Perform supply base quality systems, process, capability, and capacity audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
- Able to commit full-time for the entire co-op term (8 months) or internship term (4 months)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
