About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies across People Inc.’s festivals and events
  • Drive attendance, ticket revenue, and brand growth
  • Lead marketing strategy, planning, budgeting, and execution for the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Charleston, and other events
  • Develop event positioning, attendee personas, and customer profiles
  • Steward event brands and build sustained consumer demand
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Coordinate use of People Inc. marketing channels
  • Build relationships with local businesses, community leaders, tourism partners, and cultural organizations
  • Coordinate direct mail, paid social campaigns, grassroots marketing, programmatic, search, and other paid channels
  • Work with editorial staff to create event assets, highlight milestones, and develop event stories
  • Develop social media schedules, track editorial impact, and manage event-specific social media accounts
  • Analyze marketing campaigns, attendance projections, and event audience demographics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7+ years direct-to-consumer marketing experience, preferably for events/festivals
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Paid social and media buying experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Experience with data-driven KPIs, tracking, and reporting success
  • Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, Jira, Google Suite, social automation systems, and Airtable
  • Approximately 15% travel required
  • Employment authorization verification through the federal E-Verify program
