About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design under close supervision
- Develop basic electrical layouts and system documentation
- Perform basic electrical calculations and drafting tasks with guidance from engineers and senior designers
- Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing review and response to RFIs, under supervision
- Utilize CAD software and related tools to create 2D drawings and assist with 3D electrical modeling
- Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and detailers to support timely and coordinated project delivery
- Incorporate feedback and guidance to build technical skills and improve design quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
- No experience required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in progress or intent to pursue preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical principles and codes
- Foundational knowledge of electrical codes and standards
- Ability to use CAD software and related tools
- Ability to create 2D drawings and assist with 3D electrical modeling
