About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout project design phases
- Develop basic mechanical system layouts and documentation
- Support HVAC, piping, and equipment system layouts
- Perform basic drafting, layout, and documentation tasks under guidance
- Support construction administration, including shop drawing review and RFI responses
- Use CAD software to create 2D drawings and assist with 3D mechanical models
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and modelers on coordinated project deliverables
- Incorporate feedback and redline comments to improve design accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
- No experience required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in progress or intent to pursue preferred
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical principles
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical codes and standards
- Ability to use CAD software for 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models
