Develop drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout project design phases under close supervision
Assist in developing structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials
Perform calculations and analyses using common codes with guidance from team members
Produce accurate 2D and 3D models using CAD tools, including Tekla Structures
Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and detailers to meet deadlines and deliver coordinated design solutions
Review submittals and shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and participate in site visits
Support projects from conceptual design through completion of construction documents

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus or equivalent experience required
EIT certification preferred
Basic knowledge of common structural codes
Basic knowledge of CAD software, including Tekla Structures
Ability to create 2D drawings and 3D models
Ability to collaborate with engineers, modelers, and detailers
No experience required
