About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, validate, and approve employee time entries across approved timekeeping systems
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in time and pay data, including overtime, double time, and leave entries
- Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and provide guidance to employees
- Coordinate payroll corrections and adjustments with Shared Services Payroll
- Support payroll-related onboarding and offboarding, including system setup, tax elections, direct deposit, and timekeeping access
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, wage and hour requirements, union agreements, and company policies
- Collaborate with field leadership, People Practices, and cross-functional partners on payroll readiness, employee movement, and operational alignment
- Contribute to consistent payroll operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
- 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, timekeeping administration, or a related field required
- Experience supporting multi-state payroll environments, union agreements, or construction payroll practices preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
- Knowledge of applicable payroll regulations, wage and hour requirements, union agreements, and company policies
- Ability to review and validate timekeeping entries and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to support payroll-related onboarding and offboarding activities
