Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 5–7 years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related field required
  • APR or CMP certification preferred
  • Expert writing and editing skills
  • Experience developing external communications plans
  • Experience with executive messaging, feature stories, and press releases
  • Experience cultivating relationships with external media, industry partners, and community organizations
  • Ability to analyze communication performance metrics
  • Ability to mentor less experienced specialists
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional contributions
  • Ability to ensure messaging aligns with organizational strategy, values, and compliance requirements
