Key responsibilities & impact

Develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design under reduced supervision
Assist in developing mechanical system designs and analytical models
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, constructible mechanical solutions
Lead assigned construction administration activities
Support project execution through technical coordination, scope management, and risk evaluation
Review mechanical deliverables for scope, quality, and coordination standards
Develop HVAC, piping, hydronic, and equipment system designs
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits
Create and review coordinated 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models using CAD and modeling tools
Assist project managers with cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation
Participate in professional development and support technical and process improvements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required
6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred
Working knowledge of applicable mechanical engineering codes and standards
Experience with HVAC, piping, hydronic, and equipment systems
Proficiency with CAD and modeling tools for coordinated 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models
