Key responsibilities & impact

Develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all project design phases
Assist in developing mechanical system designs and analytical models
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, constructible mechanical solutions
Lead construction administration activities, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits
Review mechanical deliverables for scope, quality, and coordination standards
Use CAD and modeling tools to create and review coordinated 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models
Assist project managers with cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation
Participate in professional development and support technical and process improvements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required
6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred
Working knowledge of applicable mechanical engineering codes and standards
Experience with HVAC, piping, hydronic, and equipment systems
Experience using CAD and modeling tools for coordinated 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models
