About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design under reduced supervision
- Develop structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials
- Perform calculations and analyses using relevant codes
- Collaborate with engineers, modelers, detailers, and external stakeholders
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D models using CAD tools, including Tekla Structures
- Deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutions within budget and schedule
- Lead construction administration activities
- Review submittals and shop drawings
- Respond to RFIs
- Participate in and conduct site visits as directed
- Assist project managers with cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation
- Participate in professional development and help implement technical and process enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus or equivalent experience required
- 6+ years of experience in structural engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
- NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred
- Working knowledge of relevant structural engineering codes
- Working knowledge of CAD software, including Tekla Structures
- Ability to develop structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
