About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design
- Assist in developing structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials
- Perform calculations and analyses using relevant codes
- Collaborate with engineers, modelers, detailers, and external stakeholders to produce accurate 2D and 3D models using CAD tools, including Tekla Structures
- Deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutions within budget and schedule
- Lead construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and participating in site visits
- Assist with management and production of project deliverables from conceptual design through construction documents
- Assist project managers with cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation
- Participate in professional development and help implement technical and process enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus or equivalent experience required
- 6+ years of experience in structural engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
- NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred
- Working knowledge of relevant structural engineering codes
- Working knowledge of CAD software, including Tekla Structures
- Ability to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models
- Ability to perform structural calculations and analyses
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, modelers, detailers, managers, and external stakeholders
