About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and perform QA/QC of drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design
Assist in managing and producing drawings, specifications, and calculations from conceptual design through construction documents
Establish and enforce quality control measures for engineering deliverables
Oversee development of structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials
Perform structural calculations and analyses using relevant codes
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing technical support and resolving complex engineering issues
Provide guidance on innovative solutions and emerging technologies
Lead knowledge and skill development through training, mentorship, and technical leadership programs
Participate in professional societies, code committees, and industry forums
Collaborate with project managers and executives to align technical priorities with business and project objectives
Lead development and implementation of engineering standards, tools, and process improvements
Collaborate with engineers, modelers, detailers, and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated design solutions within budget and schedule

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus or equivalent experience required
12+ years of experience in structural engineering required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred
Working knowledge of all relevant structural engineering codes
Experience developing structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials
Experience with CAD tools, including Tekla Structures
Ability to produce accurate 2D and 3D models
Ability to collaborate with engineers, modelers, detailers, project managers, executives, and external stakeholders
