About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support research and development of new or existing systems, hardware, and software
  • Develop low-level software for real-time embedded systems
  • Develop infrastructure and application software for resource-constrained sensor, vehicle, and infrastructure systems
  • Design, develop, and enhance engineering solutions
  • Implement and test solutions, perform analysis, and provide documentation support
  • Generate and present test reports with plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions
  • Complete assignments developing practical knowledge of engineering processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, systems, and their interrelationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled full-time in an accredited engineering curriculum undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Must be able to work full-time for a 6-month period
  • Flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on school schedule and availability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
