About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end test strategy and execution across the DriveNets Application Platform
- Translate features and epics into complete E2E test plans tracing requirements and acceptance criteria to concrete tests
- Matrix-lead developers, system architects, product, and other stakeholders around risk, coverage, and definition of done
- Design and execute REST/gRPC API and workflow-engine tests, including dynamic task addition, orchestration, and state transitions
- Validate provisioning flows from UI/CMS edits and configuration-template rendering through application on target network elements
- Confirm on-device before/after configuration state
- Build automated contract-validation, regression, and critical-path suites
- Design negative and failure-mode tests
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with reproducible reports and logs, payloads, and on-device evidence
- Drive defects to verified closure
- Present test plans, risks, and results in slides and live walkthroughs
- Direct AI agents such as Cursor, Claude, and agentic subagents to author test plans, generate and execute tests, and triage failures
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in QA, focused on cloud-native applications and distributed systems/microservices
- CCNP-level networking required, including L2/L3, IP, ARP, MAC, VLAN, DHCP, and ICMP
- CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong REST and gRPC testing knowledge
- Proficiency with Python testing frameworks, especially pytest
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- In-depth Linux knowledge
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Formal testing methodology and artifacts, including STP, STD, and STR
- Hands-on experience with test-management tools such as TestRail and issue trackers such as Jira
- Presentation skills using PowerPoint or equivalent
- Ability to matrix-lead and influence without authority
- BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Nice to have: Temporal or Airflow, Terraform, Helm, and AI/agentic QA automation experience
