About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a data center network systems expert in network design, configuration, and automation
Provide strategic direction to enhance network operating system capabilities for customers
Design and innovate network operating system features and solutions for AI networking products
Enhance the functionality, resiliency, and utilization of GPU fabrics for hyperscaler, NeoCloud, and enterprise networks
Create, manage, and present product roadmaps and technology solutions
Address networking software stack requirements and align solutions with market and customer needs
Collaborate with development teams on requirements for the data path, control plane, and management plane
Demonstrate proof-of-concept solutions to customers
Work with sales teams and internal DriveNets groups to support customer engagements and business success
Shape the roadmap, strategy, and features powering GPU Ethernet interconnect networking

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of networking industry experience
Minimum 5 years in a product management and/or solutions architect role
Experience writing technical product/specification requirements and collaborating with engineering on delivery plans, priorities, and business goals
Technical expertise in data center or high-end enterprise network design and features, including BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, QoS, and Multicast
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
Experience collaborating with sales teams to build customer delivery strategies and roadmaps
Proven end-to-end product management experience or experience operating a large data center network
Customer and operational background designing, building, and maintaining live data center production networks
Ability to handle diverse daily activities and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask and work with geographically distributed teams
Ability to collaborate with executives and engineering teams
Ability to write extensive technical content, including white papers and technical briefs, for external audiences
Willingness to travel as needed
Familiarity with AI-relevant data center infrastructure and networking technologies, including InfiniBand, RoCEv2, PFC, ECN, accelerated computing, GPU, NIC, and DPU
Understanding of AI/HPC networking infrastructure solutions and high-speed interconnect technologies
Knowledge of scale-up technologies such as NVLink, UALink, and Scale-up Ethernet (SUE)
Knowledge of scale-out technologies such as Ethernet, Enhanced Ethernet, Scheduled Ethernet, dynamic load balancing, adaptive routing, Spectrum-X, UEC, and InfiniBand
Understanding of data center operations fundamentals in networking, cooling, and power
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
Familiarity with telemetry technologies such as gRPC, gNMI, and OTLP
Experience with one or more Tier-1 Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI) or emerging Neoclouds
Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and software
CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent certification is advantageous
Previous product management experience building equivalent solutions for data center networking router/switch vendors is advantageous
BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or another Engineering field, or equivalent experience
