About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and plan rack layouts and network topologies based on customer requirements
  • Perform data center upgrades and ensure smooth deployment of DriveNets solutions
  • Install and configure DriveNets products for optimal performance and customer satisfaction
  • Design and implement proof-of-concept lab setups, run them, and collect and document results for field use
  • Develop and deliver high-level and low-level design documentation for customer deployments
  • Design and evaluate automation scripts for network operations, configuring server and switch fabrics
  • Engage with sales teams and customers to support major opportunities and deployments
  • Introduce new products to DriveNets sales, support teams, partners, and customers
  • Deliver technical training and technology overviews for support and sales engineers, partners, and customers
  • Collaborate on product definition through customer requirement gathering and roadmap planning
  • Collaborate with sales engineering, customers, Product Management, Solution Architects, Engineering, and Marketing teams
  • Provide technical leadership and feedback to improve DriveNets product offerings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, networking, or related fields
  • Technical expertise in data center or high-end enterprise network design, including BGP, EVPN, QoS, and Multicast
  • Experience building lab demo or proof-of-concept installations using products and tools from multiple vendors
  • Hands-on experience with Python and configuration management tools such as Ansible
  • Excellent hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to write extensive technical content for external audiences, including white papers, technical briefs, and test reports
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
  • Familiarity with AI-relevant data center infrastructure and networking technologies such as InfiniBand, RoCEv2, PFC, ECN, accelerated computing, GPU, and DPU
  • Understanding of AI/HPC systems, data center design, high-speed interconnects, cluster storage, and scheduling
  • Understanding of data center operations fundamentals in networking, cooling, and power
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack, and telemetry technologies such as gRPC, gNMI, and OTLP
  • Proven experience with one or more Tier-1 clouds such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI, or emerging Neoclouds, plus cloud-native architectures and software
  • Expertise with parallel filesystems such as Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS, or WekaIO and high-speed interconnects such as InfiniBand, Omni-Path, or Ethernet
