About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Advise clients on the operational and strategic implementation of the GDPR
Act as an external Data Protection Officer (or deputy) where required
Support organizations in the legally compliant implementation of AI solutions
Assess AI tools for data protection compliance and requirements such as the AI Act
Prepare Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
Conduct external audits
Develop practical data protection policies and concepts
Conduct workshops and coaching sessions to raise awareness of the secure handling of sensitive data
Establish and audit Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), and lead related IT compliance projects when supported by IT security expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need

Substantial professional experience as a data protection consultant, Privacy Manager, or IT compliance consultant
Relevant certifications preferred, such as DSB TÜV/DEKRA or CIPP/E
Strong affinity for IT and technology, particularly AI technologies and cloud architectures
Knowledge of the legally compliant use of AI and cloud architectures
Solution-oriented and structured approach, combined with a strong hands-on mentality
Excellent communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients
Team player
Very good German language skills
Good English language skills
Solid IT security expertise, such as ISO 27001, TISAX, or NIS 2, is a major advantage
