About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, validate, and process music royalty statements from major distributors and DSPs.
  • Investigate inconsistencies, missing information, and data quality issues.
  • Transform complex financial reports into standardized datasets used throughout the company.
  • Build Python tools to automate repetitive workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processing speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Work closely with engineers to build internal tools that streamline statement processing.
  • Collaborate with Investment and Research teams to ensure processed data supports pricing and underwriting decisions.
  • Monitor operational metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Help design new workflows as Duetti continues to scale.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Research, Investment, Finance, and Product teams to continuously improve a core operational engine.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation and automation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying anomalies.
  • Ability to balance accuracy with speed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Curious mindset with a passion for continuously improving processes.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Experience working with financial reports or operational datasets is nice to have.
  • Experience with ETL pipelines or data engineering workflows is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets, Excel, or data visualization tools is nice to have.
  • Experience in music, streaming, royalties, or financial technology is nice to have.
  • Experience using AI tools to automate operational workflows is nice to have.
