About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply technical expertise to solve complex distribution zone and revenue engineering problems
- Provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise under general supervision
- Develop deeper technical skills and work with increasing independence
- Support project management activities and apply basic project management principles
- Collaborate with individuals from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
- Visit field sites and/or plants when required by the business unit
- Travel 5–15%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering Technologist II: Associate degree in Engineering Technology and 2 years of related work experience
- In lieu of an Associate degree and two years of related experience, a high school diploma/GED and four years of related experience can be considered
- Engineering Technologist III: Either 2+ years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 4+ years of experience with an Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 6+ years of equivalent experience without a degree
- Specific requirements: Either Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience, or 2+ years of experience with an Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 4+ years of equivalent experience without a degree
- Project Management Certification preferred
- Experience in the utility industry preferred
- Understanding of basic project management principles
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from varied socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
- Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Must be able to travel 5–15%
- Some business units may require visits to field sites and/or plants
