About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering and technical expertise for identifying, analyzing, and resolving increasingly complex problems
  • Support troubleshooting and evaluate equipment degradation issues
  • Coordinate component reliability improvements
  • Employ Preventive Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance techniques
  • Provide day-to-day tactical maintenance support and serve as designated owner for assigned systems
  • Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities
  • Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
  • Conduct engineering and equipment-related investigations and coordinate problem resolution
  • Provide equipment technical support for Operability Determinations
  • Review Operations and Maintenance procedures
  • Analyze and recommend business process enhancements and develop relevant standards
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments, technologies, procedures, and equipment
  • Coordinate work activities and maintain accurate records and files
  • Support company goals and represent the company positively and professionally
  • Coach and mentor engineering and non-degreed engineering professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Engineer III: 4-6 years of engineering experience
  • Senior Engineer: Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Ability to achieve Unescorted Access/Security clearance
  • Emergency Response Organization responsibilities, including possible callouts with a defined response time and on-call duty rotation
  • Must be Fit for Duty
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
  • Must live within a reasonable commute to Harris Nuclear Plant for ERO responsibilities
  • Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Ability to support plant operations in a typical office and industrial environment
