  • Prepare and construct work orders for new residential subdivisions and mixed-use developments
  • Prepare designed electrical distribution work orders
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve problems involving electrical distribution and utility systems
  • Prepare work orders, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, electrical and mechanical calculations, and sketches

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience, OR Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and two (2) years minimum of experience, OR high school diploma/GED and four (4) years minimum of equivalent experience
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, OR high school diploma/GED and two (2) years minimum of equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility
  • Ability to work in both office and field settings
  • Ability to travel 5–15%
